Telecom Business and Operations Supports Systems (Telco-BOSS) Software Architect
Telco-BOSS Software Architect will be working for client Telecom Operator specific green field BOSS solution development, BOSS transformation projects, BOSS Data Consolidation and Migration programs, and will mainly be responsible for designing, developing BOSS solutions for complex application problems, and BOSS administration issues, and performing BOSS management and integration.
The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for:
- Design software engineering, system integration, or distributed system architecture solutions specialized in Telco BSS/OSS (Business Support Systems/Operational Support Systems), Telco Billing/Charging Systems and Order Management Systems.
- Communicate with clients to understand specific business and system requirements and consulting to clients regarding the PiA Team’s DNext Order Management solution, Ericsson’s BSCS (Business Support & Control System) and CBIO (Charging Billing In One) Telco Billing/Charging solutions
- Collaborate with architecture and software development teams via making design sessions to select the most appropriate solutions and technologies to be used in software development processes and providing advice in these sessions using the latest or appropriate technologies of software development standards
- Work with product or project managers, and software development teams to develop project related the tasks creations, task weighing and timeline planning activities in accordance with agile software development methodology and project schedule
- Providing processing logic diagrams, API definition documents, user stories, design specification documents, sample payloads to software development teams aiming to convert the business and nonfunctional requirements to materialized development tasks
- Collaborate with software quality assurance teams to provide functional and nonfunctional test strategies aiming to guide them while creating test scenarios
MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE:
The qualified applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field, and possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in Telecommunication industry having worked in green field BOSS development and/or transformation projects as a Telco-BOSS Software Architect or IT professional, including 3 years of experience in BOSS analysis, design, development and testing related to Charging, Billing, Product Catalog, Order Fulfillment and Service Provisioning fields with utilizing Ericsson BSCS 6.x, 7.x, RP1.2 and BSCS8.x, BSCSiX, CBIO2.1 and ECS; Ericsson BSCS Cost-Control-Handler, BSCS MIH-Motivations and Incentives Handler, ECS dedicated accounts and accumulators; Ericsson EMA, Ericsson EDA1.x; Enterprise Java, htttp- SOAP, http-REST web services, HP QC, Rally, Git, Robot Framework, Jenkins, J-Meter, Selenium, Soap UI, Seagull, JIRA, Bugzilla; HP-UX, Linux (Ubuntu, RedHat, Debian) Windows; Virtualization and Containerization Experience as user: Linux KVM, Docker, VirtualBox, LCX/LXD; Oracle 10x and PL/SQL, MySQL; WSDL, XSD, XML, Open API Spec for REST, JSON Schema, JSON, Unix Bash Scripting. Strong technical skills and subject matter expertise in Telco-BOSS is required.
Regular traveling to various unanticipated client locations for on-site I.T. services in Washington State. No overnight travel required.
